It's been two weeks since a massive attack against Christians in Pakistan and we'll hear the story and receive an update in this week's visit with Todd Nettleton. Todd will talk about what led to the attacks and discuss what's next for the 25 congregations affected by the violence. Todd will also address persecution in Mexico in an area known as "The Circle of Silence." Hour 2: Setting Your College Student Up for Success: A Conversation with Kelli Worrall
Classes are back in session and for many families, this is the first year a son or daughter is beginning to take college classes. Kelli Worrall is not only a Moody Publisher author but is Chair of the Music and Media Arts at the Moody Bible Institute. Ken and Deb tap into Kelli's veteran experience in teaching to talk about ways that parents and families can help their college freshmen thrive in this new chapter of their education. Todd Nettleton | Voice of the Martyrs
Todd Nettleton is the Chief of Media Relations and Message Integration for The Voice of the Martyrs and the host of The Voice of the Martyrs Radio. Todd serves as a voice for persecuted Christians, working with the media to tell people in the United States about the faithfulness of Christ’s followers in 60+ nations where they face persecution. During 19 years serving at VOM, Todd has traveled to more than 20 nations to interview hundreds of Christians who have endured persecution.
Kelli Worrall
Kelli Worrall has been a professor of communications at Moody Bible Institute since 1998. She is the author of two books Pierced and Embraced and 20 Things We’d Tell Our Twentysomething Selves (written with her husband, Peter). Kelli earned a Masters of Religious Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Roosevelt University. She speaks regularly at women’s events and together with Peter at both marriage and young adult retreats. Peter and Kelli are the parents of two children through adoption.
