He'll school us on prayer and offer tips for praying for our schools, teachers, administrators, parents, and students. Ohioans recently rejected a proposal to raise the bar from a simple majority to having to garner 60 percent of the vote to make changes to the state constitution and we're talking about it with Cedarville University's Dr. Mark Caleb Smith. What impact will this make on pro-life initiatives in the state? Will this rejection impact other states? Ed Hedding
Ed Hedding is Senior Pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bettendorf. He is a graduate of Liberty University and has been in full time ministry since 1987. He loves his wife Diane and three grown children Joshua, Bethany, and Daniel and grandson Christopher Kime. In his spare time he enjoys running outside, golfing and reading. His favorite vacations are at the beach.
Dr. Mark Caleb Smith
Dr. Smith serves as Associate Professor of Political Science and the Director of the Center for Political Studies at Cedarville University. He teaches courses in American Politics, Constitutional Law, and Research Methodology/Data Analysis. Dr. Smith has authored numerous refereed journal articles, book chapters, and other publications. His primary research interest is in the field of religion and American politics. He received his B.A. in history from Bryan College (1992), an M.A. in the history of Christianity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (1995), and an M.A. (1997) and Ph.D. (2001) in political science from the University of Georgia. Before arriving at Cedarville in 2004, Dr. Smith taught at Tulane University and Calvin College.
