Hour 1: Engaging the City with the Gospel: A Prepared Devotional Teaching with Doug Rowland
How do we impact our city with the gospel? What are some ways we can engage our neighbors? Pastor Doug Rowland was recently part of a Pastor's Conference and he's back with a challenge and invitation to live out our gospel work together. Join in this study of Jeremiah and hear what we are being called to do for and in our cities to move the needle of Gospel transformation in the QCA.
Hour 2: Mental Health and Kids: A Conversation with Dr. Danny Huerta
Kids in our community are struggling. In 2021, a staggering 28% of Quad Cities kids required mental health treatment. This is well above the 17% national average. To respond to this crisis Dr. Danny Huerta will join with Ken and Deb to talk about kids and mental health. Dr. Huerta will share some of the signs that signal a need for intervention and discuss strategies to promote mental health in our families.

Doug Rowland
Doug Rowland is the lead Pastor of Rock Island Bible Church. Doug and his wife Kristin have been married for 11 years and even since their dating years have been serving in ministry together. They moved to Rock Island to live out their calling as sent people to the West End neighborhood, helping to establish Rock Island Bible Church in 2018. Doug received his B.A. in History and Comparatives Religious Studies at Illinois Wesleyan University in 2006 and a Masters degree (MDiv) from Denver Seminary in 2009.
Danny Huerta
Daniel Huerta is the vice president of the Parenting and Youth department at Focus on the Family. In this role, he oversees Focus’ initiatives that equip parents to disciple and mentor the next generation, so that they can thrive in Christ.
