Over the holidays we may be looking for a family-friendly movie to share with loved ones. What are some great classics and modern films that will be great to share with the family this time of year? Adam Holz, Director of Plugged In Movie Reviews, joins Mornings with Eric and Brigitte on Thursday to share some tips on good movies, as well as some new family-friendly items streaming on some of the major platforms this month.

Hour 2: The Incarnation - with Dr. John Koessler
A recent campaign released in the culture used the slogan, "Jesus gets us". Scripture reveals that Jesus took on human nature so that he could "empathize with our weakness" (Heb. 4:15). But if Jesus has only that to offer, He is of little help to us. On Thursday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte Dr. John Koessler, MBI Professor tells us that Jesus became flesh not only to "get us", but to die for us. He became human to become a sacrifice for our sins (1 John 2:2, 4:10). Sin demands a remedy far stronger than sympathy. Jesus is "the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world--He was born to die. (Rev. 13:8).

After serving as an associate editor at NavPress’ Discipleship Journal and consulting editor for Current Thoughts and Trends, Adam now oversees the editing and publishing of Plugged In’s reviews as the site’s director. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children. In their free time, the Holzs' enjoy playing games, a variety of musical instruments, swimming and … watching movies.
John Koessler
Dr. John Koessler is faculty emeritus of pastoral studies at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where he served as professor of applied theology and church ministry for 25 years. He is the author of several books, including All Together Different (with J. Brian Tucker), The Surprising Grace of Disappointment, A Stranger in the House of God, and True Discipleship: The Art of Following Jesus. He is a contributing author to the Moody Bible Commentary and also serves as a contributing editor for Moody Bible Institute's publication Today in the Word, where you can read his monthly "Theology Matters" column. He and his wife, Jane, have two sons.
