Praise & Worship ChannelWhat role does morality play in a democracy? Two out of three Americans consider civility to be a major problem in our country today. It seems we are all fighting to be heard and no one's listening. On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Dr. Mark Turman, Executive Director of the Denison Forum presents the question, "How should we respond to uncivil people?" Dr. Turman offers the hope that the time will come when we, as a culture can disagree respectfully in conversations and offer each other grace and respect.
In our out-of-control world, the book of Nehemiah provides insight--and hope. Nehemiah was overwhelmed with grief, but prayed day and night, focusing on the character of God. He pushed beyond his fear and courageously shared what was on his heart to the king. On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, licensed professional counselor, Marti Wibbels tells us that our fears can literally stop us from doing what God calls us to do. She encourages us to spend time in the Word daily to listen to God's heart. "Whatever you do, work from the soul from the Lord and not for men, knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the inheritance which is your greatest reward." Col. 3:23-24a.
