For our Summer of Purpose focus during the month of August, we are continuing to look for people to care, listen, love, honor, and share life with our community’s most forgotten population; the elderly living in care centers. No matter what time of year, there are those who feel forgotten, and just feel like they need a friend. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Kim Kent, Board President of Heart 2 Heart Outreach of South Florida joins us to share why it is so important to reach out to those in care centers who would otherwise have received little or no visits from family and friends.

Hour 2: Enhancing Your Bible Study - with Chris Martin
Let’s face it: studying the Bible can be intimidating, especially if you aren’t very familiar with scripture or you haven’t read the Bible very much. But studying the Bible is a worthwhile effort, even if you need to spend some time reflecting on why you’re studying it! Christians find plenty of reasons to not study their Bibles, but if you take some intentional steps, you can make the most of your Bible study. On Wednesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Chris Martin joins us to share a few wise tips on how to approach our bible study, whether you're digging into God's Word for the first time, or a seasoned student of the Bible.

Kim Kent
Kim Kent discovered she had a heart for the elderly when she visited a nursing home to put on a Halloween party with colleagues in 2018. She could not stop thinking about lonely seniors and starting doing one-to-one visits at an area nursing home. She later became board president in 2021 and still volunteers weekly in the nursing home. Kim is a board member of StrikeForce 42, a Christian women’s giving circle. She is the well-being coordinator for Team Horner Group, a wholesale distribution and manufacturer of pool-related supplies and equipment.
Chris Martin
Chris Martin is a content marketing editor at Moody Publishers and a social media, marketing, and communications consultant. He writes regularly in his Substack newsletter, Terms of Service, and author of Terms of Service: The Real Cost of Social Media (B&H, 2022). Chris lives outside Nashville with his wife, Susie, their daughter, Magnolia, and their dog, Rizzo.
