During the month of July Moody Radio South Florida's Summer of Purpose focus is to help provide basic, personal hygiene items to thousands of needy men, women, and children in our local communities. We know that when someone feels better, they are in a better position to make other positive changes in their lives. On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Lian Navarro, Community Development Associate of The Caring Place joins us to talk about how individuals are able to experience changes in their lives as they work with them in education, work training, recovery, and spiritual guidance.

Hour 3: Reaching the Next Generation for Christ - with Dwayne Eslick
On Tuesday's Mornings with Eric and Brigitte, Assistant Director of Miami Dade County's First Priority, Dwayne Eslick joins us to talk about the clubs, church connections and professions of faith their organization experienced this past year in South Florida. They are looking forward to this next school year with the hope of growing and have scheduled 15-20 training sessions for teachers, potential student leaders, and adult club mentors. First Priority's mission is to "Take the Hope of Christ to Every Student".

Laura Cusack
Laura Cusack is a Crime Victim Practitioner at the Coalition for Independent Living Options, Inc. and currently serves as the President for the Human Trafficking Coalition of the Palm Beaches. Laura’s experience includes providing training to service providers on specific needs of crime victims with disabilities, human trafficking, online safety, domestic violence and sexual assault; facilitating psychoeducational groups for high-risk youth with trauma-related disabilities; and leading community outreach efforts to promote identification of victims. Laura earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Florida Atlantic University and is certified in the My Life My Choice, iEmpathize Empower Youth Program, and Men Breaking Free national curriculum.
The Caring Place
The Caring Place endeavors to transform the lives of homeless men, women, and children through comprehensive residential programs to effect lasting change and empower them to become productive members of society. The Caring Place is a pioneering Christian organization providing homeless men, women, and children the best in spiritual and practical restoration to effect lasting change. Homelessness affects the quality of life for an entire community, and during the past ten decades The Caring Place has endeavored to respond to the needs of impoverished and homeless individuals in south Florida.
Dwayne Eslick
Pastor Dwayne Eslick grew up in the city of Miami and by sixth grade had been arrested twice. At that time, he met a group of Christians who reached out to him and his single mother. He made a serious commitment to follow Christ at the age of 13. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute, he went on staff at New Life Community Church in 1998, at their first location on the south side of Chicago. For 15 years he served as a youth pastor at that location, leading hundreds of youth to the Lord. In late 2011, God called Dwayne to plant the 15th location of New Life in the NE corner of Chicago. God brought together New Life Community Church - Rogers Park, a vibrant congregation that reflects the diversity of a neighborhood famous for its ethnic, racial, and cultural diversity on Chicago's north side. Dwayne's wife, Cecilia, grew up on Chicago's south side and has worked with young girls and ministered to women for over 20 years. Together they have four beautiful children. Dwayne is currently the Assistant Director of Miami-Dade County for First Priority.
