Hour 2: No Greater Love

The Bible has something to say about friendship and author Rebecca McLaughlin will talk to us about why Christian friendship is so vital. She has written the book No Greater Love: A Biblical Vision for Friendship to encourage us to love each other just like He loves us.

Rebecca holds a PhD in Renaissance Literature from Cambridge University and a theology degree from Oak Hill College in London. Her first book, Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World’s Largest Religion, was named book of the year by Christianity Today. Her subsequent books include Exploring the Earliest GospelThe Secular Creed: Engaging 5 Contemporary Claims10 Questions Every Teen Should Ask (and Answer) about Christianity, and Is Christmas Unbelievable?: Four Questions Everyone Should Ask about the World’s Most Famous Story. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her husband, three children, and church family.

Hour 3: Cancer Outreach

Rev. Percy McCray Jr., with the City of Hope, gives us insight into cancer outreach. 

Rev. Percy McCray Jr. has spent more than 20 years ministering to cancer patients and their caregivers at City of Hope. He recognizes the cancer care ministry as a special calling from God and considers faith a key, but often overlooked, component of cancer treatment. He now serves as the Director of Specialized Communities at the City of Hope and provides leadership to the spiritual support teams at City of Hope hospitals in Atlanta, Arizona, and Chicago. In addition, Rev McCray hosts Health, Hope & Inspiration, an award-winning podcast developed to help people find answers to questions about cancer, cancer prevention and overall healthy living.
