Keith Getty

Keith Getty is a modern hymn writer. In re-inventing the traditional hymn form, Keith and his wife Kristin have created a distinguished catalogue of songs teaching Christian doctrine and crossing genres by connecting the world of traditional and classical composition with contemporary and globally-accessible melodies. Keith’s most popular hymn, “In Christ Alone,” was co-written with Stuart Townsend and is the #1 most popular hymn sung in the UK for the past nine years. In 2017 the Getty’s created their global church music conference, Sing! The Getty Music Worship Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The Gettys' hymns are used increasingly both in contemporary and traditional circles, being included in most modern hymnbooks (with a number of these now listing “Getty” as the most-featured composers), while in the more contemporary church, more than 60 of their songs are featured on top 2,000 CCLI charts between the UK and USA.
