Music for Sunday
Music for Sunday is a weekly six-hour program that encourages listeners to reflect on God’s goodness through music and devotional thoughts.
Due to music licensing agreements, we are not allowed to post music lists until after the songs play. Playlists for Music for Sunday will be posted the following day. All times posted are Central Time.
Roy Patterson is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Trinity International University. He serves as host of three nationally syndicated programs, Celebration of Praise, Music for Sunday and Urban Praise. He is also a preacher, praise and worship leader and vocalist. He has a passion to see the body of Christ united through worship and sincere fellowship. Roy has served as a youth leader, senior pastor and a substance abuse counselor. In January 2011, Roy was appointed station manager for Moody Radio Chicago. Roy has been married to his wife, Lynette, for over 30 years and has three children.
Born in Mishawaka, Ind., but raised in Niles, Mich., Nancy Turner began her radio career in high school, producing and hosting a program on the local radio station. After graduating from high school, she continued to study broadcasting and through her career has worked at many stations in Michigan and Illinois. Nancy has helped host the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon on WGN-TV, fund-raising efforts on WTTW-TV in Chicago and the Country Music Today program on local Chicago television.
Nancy hosts mid-mornings from 9 a.m. to noon on Moody Radio Chicago. She also hosts This is the Day, Music for Sunday and the Praise and Worship Channel. Nancy has one daughter. She enjoys reading, baking and experiencing the outdoors.
