Con Brio String Quartet will present The Seven Last Words of Christ for String Quartet by Franz Joseph Haydn on Good Friday. Admission is free. Con Brio is based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Founded in 1983, this dynamic ensemble has established an excellent reputation based on professionalism, dependability, solid musicianship and years of experience. The seven main meditative sections—labelled "sonatas" and all slow—are excerpted from all four Gospels and framed by a slow Introduction and a fast "Earthquake" conclusion, for a total of nine movements.
