Bring your family for a night of fun and holiday cheer to Celebrate Christmas Downtown, the official lighting of the Rutherford County Christmas tree! There will be free children's events and a beautiful program.

Kid-friendly activities will include making reindeer food, ornaments and writing letters to Santa. Take pictures with Santa in the courthouse after the program and hear Christmas stories from guest readers. "Movies Under the Stars" from Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation will show the "Polar Express" beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Food vendors will be available for a warm snack (funnel cakes, hot dogs and kettle corn) before and during the movie. Shops will be open until 9:00 p.m. showcasing the Main Street's Holiday Window Tour and Contest.
