This conference this year takes place on Monday October 16. Mark Jobe, the president of Moody Bible Institute, and I will be doing the preaching. The Word conference aims to help Christians stand for and communicate biblical truth in a shifting cultural context. Note: this is not just for pastors. It is for all Christians. I think of it is a “ministry conference” (as opposed to a “pastors conference”). It is also not a workshop (like the excellent Simeon Trust event college church hosts each year). We’re not trying to train people how to do expository sermons in a Sunday morning/evening church context. The aim is to advocate for the centrality of God’s word in Christian lives and churches, and to showcase how to communicate and stand for the truth of God’s word in a shifting cultural context.
