Join the Mark 12:31 Movement!

Mark 12:31 says, "...Love your neighbor as yourself..."

This is a year unlike any other. The world has retreated indoors as a pandemic rages. Schools, businesses, and even churches have temporarily closed their doors. Despite this, God is still in control. His word is still the guiding light of our lives. In Mark 12:31, he gives us the commandment to love others. How do we let love rule instead of fear? How do we demonstrate care when we are on lockdown?

88.9 Moody Radio invites you, your family or your ministry to find creative ways to make a difference in the lives of others during this time and to share those stories with us! Who knows, your actions just may encourage someone else to boldly love their neighbor as themselves.

We have already heard from several of you who have done everything from sewing masks for those in need, to distributing colorful balloons, to offering food drops for the homeless.

We want to hear your photos and stories with #mark1231 to the Moody Radio Chattanooga Facebook page or text us directly at 423-629-8900 during Mornings with Tabi (6 am-9 am EST)!

Fresh out of ideas? We have some for you!

  • Host a virtual prayer walk or prayer drive by for a nearby hospital, school, or ill person.
  • Spotlight a community member doing great things and share their story.
  • Drop off goodie bags to single moms or the elderly.
  • Send encouragement to inmates through a local ministry.
  • Put a sign in your window to encourage those driving by, e.g. color a heart with "I love my neighbors" in the center or prop up a teddy bear holding a sweet message for onlookers.
  • Host a virtual storytime for kids to give parents a break during their homeschooling day.
  • Host a socially distant encouragement service in your back yard with 5-8 friends.
  • Teach a digitally-challenged friend how to shop online.
  • Send a sweet card to someone through the mail.
  • Call a relative you haven't spoken with in a long time.

Then, post your activities on Facebook with the hashtag #mark1231 or call/text us at 423-629-8900 to share your story during Mornings with Tabi (6 am-9 am EST)!
