Moody Radio Partners with The Howard School

88.9 Moody Radio is excited to partner with The Howard School this year, highlighting their accomplishments, uniqueness, needs, and providing opportunities for our listeners to get involved and support this rapidly changing school. 

Interesting facts about The Howard School:

-It was the first school in the region for African Americans, founded after the Civil War.

-This year 50% of the students at Howard are Spanish-speaking.

-Soccer is the number one sport at Howard for both boys and girls.

-A documentary about students at the Howard School debuted in Chattanooga in 2012

Want to get Involved with the Howard School? Here's what you can do:

1. Pray for the students, teachers, and administrators of the Howard School. 

2. Donate towards the repair of the soccer field to make sure it meets code.

3. Volunteer with the Howard School. Speak to a class. Read to a student whose second language is English. Attend games and other events. Join the PTA. 

4. Start a Good News Club at Howard with your church.

5. Purchase a regular school uniform for a student.

6. Purchase a soccer uniform for a student athlete.

7. Have your small group provide snacks and appreciation gifts for the faculty and staff.
