As we continue to study in the book of 2 Chronicles, we’ll see how God gives King Jehoshaphat and the army of Judah a promise. Pastor Ford explains that God did that because they needed to understand what He was going to do in the midst of their current circumstance. He wanted to change their outlook, by telling them their outcome.

When our back is up against the wall, we have to seek the face of the Father. We have to know that Christ is there with us because He has promised to never leave us, nor forsake us.

God is not trying to change our outcome.  He’s trying to change our outlook.  Because He knows if He can change our outlook He can then change our outcome.  And if we’re filled with fret, we can’t be filled with faith.  We can’t be fretful and faithful at the same time.
