Abraham learned Who God is by what he went through. He learned that God is the answer. But just like Abraham, we have to be given a problem so that we can discover all that God is. So to Abraham, God became Jehovah-Jireh. And if we go through the problems we are given, what we’ll find is that God reveals His name to us according to what we need.

Pastor James Ford Jr. has been the senior pastor of Christ Bible Church of Chicago, located on the south side of Chicago, Ill., for over 35 years. He also serves as the president of Impact Ministries, an outreach ministry committed to strengthening families in the South Shore community of Chicago.
