Have you ever been given a second chance? April is Second Chance month and we'll talk about second chances for prisoners and what research is showing regarding the effectiveness of education and training with Sammy Perez from Prison Fellowship. Sammy is the director of grassroots initiatives at Prison Fellowship and has been incarcerated in the past. He speaks to the ministry and hope that Prison Fellowship provides to the thousands of incarcerated men and women in our state and nation.
What questions should you be asking as you consider your stewardship legacy? How can you be a blessing to your heirs and help gospel ministries? MBI Stewardship Representative for our area Gerad Hall will join Ken and Deb to talk about a FREE seminar that will take place one week from today in East Moline, Il. During this seminar, a local attorney will offer best practices and answer questions on estate planning and charitable giving.
Sammy Perez leads Prison Fellowship’s grassroots program to build and mobilize a network of Christians who are passionate about justice that restores. After rediscovering faith in Christ, Perez, who has spent time in prison, overcame his past and began to serve others impacted by crime and incarceration, including volunteering as a Prison Fellowship Justice Ambassador before joining as a full-time employee. Perez graduated from Liberty University with a degree in psychology, specializing in addiction and recovery, and is currently completing graduate studies in clinical mental health counseling. He enjoys life with his lovely wife and four children.
