Men, do you desire a life lived passionately for Jesus, above mediocrity, making a difference in your world? Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Conference is an equipping conference that aims to bring men together for encouragement in fully living into biblical manhood and into relationships with other men in the local church. Roy Abbott from Focal Point Ministries will be with Ken and Deb Wednesday to fill us in on this year's conference and to talk about the vital role men God has called men of God to in this world and in their families.
Hour 2: The Wolf in their Pockets: A Conversation with Chris Martin
How is our time on social media impacting our life in Christ? The average social media user is spending about two-and-a-half hours a day which is more than enough time to shape our values and desires. Whether it’s being consumed with likes, views, or followers, or being increasingly disenchanted with our daily lives, the influence of this online community is changing us and our children. What is a reasonable and healthy response to this powerful influence? Chris Martin is helping us to think biblically in our response in his new book, The Wolf in Their Pockets. Chris will share biblical wisdom, direction, and hope in this conversation as we seek to follow Christ in our social media-saturated world.

Roy Abbott
Roy Abbott founded Focal Point Ministries in 2006 as a servant-ministry to the local church in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. FPM trains, equips, and resources the local church in discipling men. Since 2007, FPM has hosted 52 men’s and 8 women’s Iron Sharpens Iron conferences, ministering to over 32,000 conference attendees and held over 800 workshops at these one-day equipping events. Roy and Kim have been married for 40 years and reside in Fulton, IL.
Chris Martin
Chris Martin is a content marketing editor at Moody Publishers and a social media, marketing, and communications consultant. He writes regularly in his Substack newsletter, Terms of Service, and author of Terms of Service: The Real Cost of Social Media (B&H, 2022). Chris lives outside Nashville with his wife, Susie, their daughter, Magnolia, and their dog, Rizzo.
