Physical appearance has many advantages in our culture today, but in the narrative of the Bible a description of a person's "looks" is rare. Dr. Jim Coakley says that's why we need to pay close attention to these descriptions of outward beauty when they are mentioned. Jim will take us through several examples from scriptures where outward appearance has a significant role in the narrative that we would be wise to observe and learn from.
The February 8 chapel at Asbury University began as usual, but instead of students picking up their backpacks and heading to class after the service, students continued to worship, seeking the Lord for their lives and generation. That chapel was still going strong 13 days later with thousands of students and people coming from all over the nation to join in this movement of spiritual renewal and revival. Friday we visit with Nick Hall, leader of the Pulse Movement, who joined with thousands of others at Asbury and is now providing a space for repentance, renewal, and worship. Nick will share his personal experience and invite us to be a part of what God is doing in drawing young people to relationship with Christ and living for Him.
