Author and Professor Matthew Bennett says that what is needed is not a name change but a reclamation of the missionary roots of the American evangelical church. Matthew talks about some of the contributions of the evangelical church and why we don't want to leave these behind on Monday's show.

George Yancey
George Yancey is a professor at the Institute for Studies of Religion at Baylor University, specializing in race/ethnicity and religion. He works to promote collaborative communication as a solution to racial unrest. His books include Beyond Racial Gridlock and Transcending Racial Barriers.
He earned his undergraduate degree in economics from West Texas State and received his doctorate in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995.
Matthew Bennett
Matthew Bennett is assistant professor of missions and theology at Cedarville University. He joined the faculty at Cedarville University in 2017 after serving as a missionary in North Africa and the Middle East for six years. He has a Ph.D. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is passionate about missions and theology, and loves being able to ground missions in Scripture and sound doctrine.
