Recently in Iowa, a Private School bill was passed into law, making the way for Iowa families to use up to $7,598 dollars for the school of their choice including private school tuition. Should parents have public funds available to them for their child’s education? What is the importance of school choice and what difference could it make? Last week was National School Choice Week, and we are going to talk about school choice with Focus on the Family Daily Citizen Culture and Policy analyst Jeff Johnston. Jeff will offer resources and encouragement that can assist you in making the best educational choice for your student.
Jeff Johnston works as a Culture and Policy Analyst for Focus on the Family, writing and teaching about marriage, homosexuality and gender, as well as encouraging and equipping Christians to engage the culture on these issues. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s in English and a Teaching Credential. Jeff and his wife, Judy, have been married 20 years and have three teenage sons.
