Hour 1: The First Songs of Christmas: A Best of Conversation with Nancy Wolgemuth
What would your Christmas be without the songs of Christmas? We have a rich tradition of carols and songs that make up our Christmas playlist and add so much to the joy and meaning of our advent celebrations. The account of that first Christmas also had songs of worship as part of the anticipation and announcement of the birth of our Savior. Nancy Wolgemuth shares some of the insights from her study of those first songs of Christmas.
Hour 2: The Incarnation: A Conversation with Biochemist Fuz Rana
How do Muslims view the incarnation? Fuz Rana was unable to experience the beauty of the incarnation growing up, but after giving his heart to Jesus, he came to understand the humiliation and suffering of Christ as the greatest expression of love. Her books have sold more than three million copies and are reaching the hearts of women around the world. Nancy and her husband, Robert, live in Michigan.
Dr. Fazale Rana
Biochemist Fazale “Fuz” Rana is president, CEO, and senior scholar of Reasons to Believe (RTB), an organization dedicated to communicating the powerful scientific case for God’s existence and the Bible’s reliability to both Christians and non-Christians. Fuz converted to Christianity during graduate school. Though he initially embraced the evolutionary paradigm, he eventually drew the conclusion that only a Creator’s involvement could explain the elegance of biochemical systems. After a pastor challenged him to read the Bible, Fuz became convinced of the validity of Christ’s claims and of his own need for a Savior. Fuz earned a BS in chemistry with highest honors (West Virginia State College) and a PhD in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry (Ohio University) and completed postdoctoral work at the Universities of Virginia and Georgia. Before joining RTB in 1999, he worked for seven years as a senior scientist in research and development for Procter & Gamble. To date, Fuz has addressed more than 500 university, church, and conference audiences in the US and abroad. His books include Humans 2.0, The Cell’s Design, and Fit for a Purpose. He was also featured in Museum of the Bible’s Scripture and Science exhibit in Washington, DC.
