This week families will be gathering around the table to enjoy a scrumptious meal, but what was the first Thanksgiving really like? What was the context in which the Pilgrims gathered to offer thanks and what can we learn from them as we celebrate today? Monday Ken and Deb talk with historian/author Dr. Jerry Newcombe about some of the lessons we can learn from Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving.
The Importance of Gratitude
How can we thank God when going thru seasons of suffering and hardship? How important is it to practice gratitude? As we begin this week of Thanksgiving, we'll explore these questions with Moody Bible Institute Professor Dr. Winfred Neely.

Jerry has produced or co-produced more than seventy one-hour television specials that have aired nationwide. At least two of his books have been bestsellers, George Washington’s Sacred Fire (with Dr. Peter Lillback) and What If Jesus Had Never Been Born? (with Dr. Kennedy). Jerry has also written Doubting Thomas? The Life and Legacy of Thomas Jefferson (with Mark Beliles).
