Perry and Shawna Mornings

Program Menu

July 13, 2022

First, Perry shares how his wounds of shame have been a good friend on his journey. Then, on Monday Shawna wrote in her journal, God, help! Why aren’t you doing something about all this pain? Please come! Louis Lapides, a young Jewish man in New York City was challenged by a street preacher to consider Jesus as Israel’s Messiah. So he started reading the Hebrew scriptures. When he came to Isaiah 53, it seemed a perfect match to Jesus. He concluded that Christians had changed that scripture in their bible. That’s when he asked his mom for a Jewish bible.

Then, the bible gives us supernatural wisdom to navigate life skillfully. Last, the wounds of our nation run deep: racism, violence, slandering politicians, addiction, the alt right, the radical left. And the only way our land can be healed is if we, God’s people, humble ourselves, pray, seek his face, and turn from our wicked ways. Randy and Marcia Heckman of Grand Awakening join the team to point us to a powerful prayer gathering coming to Kalkaska on Friday, July 22nd that will give us a space to pray, to seek, to turn, that our land might be healed.
