Surviving Sorrow

She got the call that’s every parent’s nightmare, “Your son isn’t breathing.”  Kim Erickson joins the team to share the painful loss of her 3-year-old son Austin and what she’s learned to pass on to grieving parents since that fateful day in 2008.  Her book is Surviving Sorrow:  A Mothers Guide to Living With Loss. First Kim shares how Austin spoke to her from heaven (!) and that out of his death she found new life in Jesus.  She shares what grieving moms need most, how to keep a marriage together after losing a child, how to navigate the triggers that bring back all the pain of loss.  Kim shares how Jesus wept with her in her sorrow, what to do when you feel you can’t go on and finally how crucial it is to express anger.  If you know a grieving mom, please share today’s show.
