2020 has had its challenges. On today’s Replay Shawna and Scott reflect on how faithful God has always been and continues to be in every season.
It’s super easy to get all caught up in what’s right in front of us. It’s natural. Early on in the pandemic Shawna was feeling really insecure and realized that it was a result of everything she thought she could count on switching up. She was finding security in a reliable routine rather than trusting in our eternal God. Scripture encourages us to keep our eyes on what we can’t see , that which is forever!
When you get one piece of bad news after another and you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders you might be tempted to freak out. Scott was right on the brink of freaking out in his early days with Moody Radio. That’s when God met him with Psalm 46:10 and challenged him to Be Still and trust in God.
No matter how hard things get, we need to remember that the same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives inside every believer. Scripture reminds us that our God can do anything.
When the disciples heard Jesus say that he would be leaving, they could not see in any way how that could possibly be good. Jesus explains that it is good for him to leave because the Father will send the promised Holy Spirit – the very presence of God to be remind us of everything Jesus said and to empower us to obey
