It’s a brand new day in a brand new week at the end of a very difficult year. Funny how everyone was talking about vision when we looked ahead at 2020 and yet nobody saw this coming... A worldwide pandemic!!! And yet here we are. As we look to leave 2020 in the rearview mirror we are reflecting on the “silver lining” of hard times.
If we’re willing to learn we can come away from difficult times with greater wisdom. Hard won wisdom that we can then share with others when they need it. Rather than trying to get out of it too quickly it’s worth it to acknowledge the pain, and learn from it.
Maybe you’d like a do over for 2020. It’s good to know that there isn’t anything we’ve ever done that could keep God from loving us and pursuing us. Scott brings this truth to light as he tells the story of Hosea in the bible. We are of utmost value not because of what we’ve done but because we are deeply and dearly loved by God.
Maybe you’ve struggled with feeling afraid in 2020. If we are willing to be honest about our fears, scary as that may be, having to face them could bring deep assurance of what is unshakeable and eternally true. Shawna shares her greatest fear in life and how the consideration of those fears becoming her reality brought about a deep peace that no matter what, she’s going to be ok.
Join us all week as we get honest about the hardships of 2020 and share openly about what we’ve learned through it all.
