Today it’s Freedom Friday on Perry and Shawna Mornings as we share the power and love and beauty of Jesus. First, Hashem is a quiet guy. He doesn’t like to talk much. Unless he gets to share how Jesus appeared to him and delivered him from an evil spirit! It about the power of Jesus to set us free from the assaults and accusations of the evil one.
Then, maybe you fall into striving to follow the rules to earn God’s love. Or you question if you’re really going to heaven because you failed again. Or you think, He doesn’t want me! This is what happens when we settle for following rules out of fear rather than a loving relationship with God. But here’s the truth that sets us free: And you did not receive the spirit of religious duty, leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the Spirit of full acceptance, enfolding you into the family of God (Rom. 8:15).
Next Perry and Shawna have some fun on National Sneakers Day! And finally when Perry was a teenager, he woke up early and saw in his basement bedroom window a dark ominous bird. He felt the presence of evil. That evil would flee about an hour later when his dad prayed for him. But the reality in Perry’s life then was that he was a slave to sin; vulnerable to the enemy because he didn’t know the word. In our battle against the enemy we need to know who Jesus is and all he’s done for us. Listen as Perry’s shares liberating truths from Colossians 2.
