oday on Perry and Shawna Mornings it’s Freedom Friday—We celebrate the love of God seen perfectly in Jesus! First we have a conversation about the love that the Father speaks to us and over us—he tells us that we’ve been chosen, adopted, redeemed and that one day all the sad things will come untrue not only for us but for all creation! And the assurance of all we have now and we will have forever is his own Spirit who lives in us! Then Shawna shares from the core of who she is and completely transparently that this week she came to the end of herself. Find out what she is learning; that in this place we stand at the doorway of possibility. Next Mark, a West Michigan listener calls in to share a time when he came to a place of complete surrender and made the leap of faith, trusting God would catch him.
Then we have some fun with this: If you could pick a scented mask cause your tired of smelling your own breath, what scent would you choose?? Next we share the brilliant light of the gospel of grace—that what we deserve for our sin is a separation from God that grows wider and wider for all eternity. But that God in Jesus Christ willingly came into this world to bridge the gap so that we can have life with God now and forever. If you can think of anything better than that you’re going to have to tell me. And finally Jesse one of our listeners who stopped by the show today to bring us Starbucks and frosted cinnamon rolls (!), shares his reflections on what Jesus spoke to his heart this morning. Today is a sweet show, share it!
