Today Colin Smith, Senior Pastor at Orchard Evangelical Free Church in Illinois and bible teacher weekday mornings at 9 on 89.3 joins Perry and Shawna. Colin has an amazing new resource (Open) to help you understand the one story of the bible that all points to Jesus.
First Colin gives us the 30,000 foot view of what Open the Bible is all about. And with this segment is an Old Testament picture of being “In Christ” that is a-ma-zing. Then find out what it means that the Old Testament is the set up for the story of the bible and the New Testament is the punchline!
Next, another way of looking at the bible as one story is to see it as a stream of mountains and valleys. The mountains being God’s mighty wonders and the valleys being generations of darkness and chaos. And in the end the valley of death is forever swallowed up in the Mountain of the new heaven and new earth!
