Perry and Shawna joyfully share the freedom of Jesus. First, through the gospel we find the freedom of self-forgetfulness. And that means disconnecting our ultimate identity from how we perform good or bad, and finding it in Jesus perfect performance! Next, the gospel frees us from racism because it gives us the freedom to listen, empathize, see our blind spots, repent and become bridges of healing. Then, this week Psalm 37 and The Late, Late Show with James Corden converged. Check it out, it’ll touch your heart. And finally, the gospel shines rays of hope into our troubled land—because Jesus heals the wounds of injustice, he forgives us for our acts of injustice and he gives us hope that evil will never ever have the final word!
