Today Steven Timlock, Campus Life Director in Holland, MI joins Perry and Shawna to talk about the staggering grace of Jesus that has changed and is changing his life. First Steven shares about his early years, going to church with his family yet being abused by his church going dad—he really was afraid of God until he encountered his love at 16. Then Steven opens up about the pain of his divorce, how he was looking to his wife for most of his meaning in life. When he lost his marriage he completely questioned his worth but out of that found that only the love of the Father could ultimately fill him.
Next we shift gears and Perry shares his growing love for popcorn and the continuing challenge with his Whirly Pop. Next Steven shares openly about being wounded by the abuse of his dad who used the bible to back up his abuse, and how Steven is being healed from that father wound. Then, Steven had a lot of reasons to not follow Jesus, to call the Christian faith a sham. And yet he’s a robust follower of Jesus. Find out why. Finally the teams shares what God is teaching them right now about grace. If today’s show encourages you, share it!
