The world has watched in horror as a peaceful nation has been brutally attacked by Russian forces. This story is very real to fellow Christian broadcaster Wayne Shepherd. Wayne is the host of “First Person” which you can catch on Moody Radio Florida, each Saturday at 3:30 pm. He has many Ukrainian and Russian friends. He shares some powerful stories and perspectives with us.
Wayne shares, "I volunteer as a Board member with two different Christian ministries which are deeply involved in Gospel work in both countries. Both Mission Eurasia and the Far East Broadcasting Company have personnel in Ukraine who are bravely doing outstanding work in difficult circumstances. Both need your support."
Wayne Shepherd is a veteran radio broadcaster with over 40 years of experience as a programming manager and radio host. Owner of Wayne Shepherd Communications, he hosts several nationally syndicated radio programs. For nearly 33 years, Wayne served at Moody Broadcasting in Chicago where, as Broadcast Program Manager, he led the team that created the full service Moody Broadcasting Network, pioneering the creation of satellite-fed programming and news to hundreds of radio stations. Wayne also volunteers his time serving on the ministry boards of Mission Eurasia and Far East Broadcasting Company and hosts his own weekly interview program, FIRST PERSON with Wayne Shepherd.
Kurt Goff, co-host of Kurt and Kate Mornings, is a broadcasting veteran with a pastor's heart. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and has more than 30 years of experience anchoring television news and hosting a variety of radio programs around the country. Upbeat and encouraging, Kurt has a passion for connecting people to God. He and his wife, Liz, have two sons.
Kate Bruington is the co-host of Kurt and Kate Mornings, Midday host, and can also be heard on Music for Sunday. Originally from East Hartford, Conn., Kate brings years of TV and radio experience to Moody Radio in Florida. She attended Boston Conservatory of Music and traveled the country singing before entering the broadcasting field. Kate's pastimes are reading and writing, and she currently spends much of her free time writing a novel. She has two daughters and two grandchildren.
