1: Agape Flights – Haiti Earthquake 2021

On this National Aviation Day we wanted to reconnect with our good friends at Agape Flights based in Venice. Hundreds of mission partners rely on Agape Flights to transport the mail and supplies they need while living and working on the mission field in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and Cuba. So much is going on in these places! Allen Speer joins us in the 7 am hour for an update.

2: Afghanistan – Thursdays With Stan

With the Taliban taking control, life is likely to get tougher for the country's small community of believers. International Christian Concern says "What small hope there was for religious freedom in the former government has now all but dissipated." Daniel Patterson of the Southern Baptist Convention says "Clearly, a humanitarian crisis is unfolding and both prayer and immediate action are urgently needed."  Author and columnist Stan Guthrie joined us in the 8 am hour to talk about what's going on right now in Afghanistan and to share prayer requests.

Kate Bruington is the co-host of Kurt and Kate Mornings, Midday host, and can also be heard on Music for Sunday. Originally from East Hartford, Conn., Kate brings years of TV and radio experience to Moody Radio in Florida. She attended Boston Conservatory of Music and traveled the country singing before entering the broadcasting field. Kate's pastimes are reading and writing, and she currently spends much of her free time writing a novel. She has two daughters and two grandchildren.
