The great British Pastor Charles Spurgeon was known as the "Prince of Preachers." Even though he went to heaven almost 130 years ago.. he's still encouraging believers today through his many printed sermons and numerous books. If you've never read anything by him or about him.. you have no idea how much good stuff you're missing!
Moody Publishers has two new books out that make Spurgeon accessible to a new generation: Spurgeon on the Power of Scripture and Spurgeon on the Priority of Prayer. We combined those with two Spurgeon books by our good friend Ray Rhodes in today's Spurgeon Prize Pack. Congrats to our five winners of these four books. Ray joined us for some good conversation in the 8 am ET hour too. He's an expert on the life of Charles and Susie Spurgeon. Ray's books are Susie: The Life and Legacy of Susannah Spurgeon, wife of Charles H. Spurgeon and Yours, till Heaven: The Untold Love Story of Charles and Susie Spurgeon.
