Time to go Beyond the Blog if you will with Pastor Derek Brown. Recently he posted some good stuff online: Pastor, Beware of Subtle Self-Promotion has some big ideas that aren't limited just to pastors. He also weighed in on God's leading. He poses a good question: When God Closes a Door, Does He Open a Window? Derek joins us in the 7 am ET hour for some good conversation.
Plus, yesterday we were talking about how this season is impacting the local church. But there's a lot more to this. Some ministries are closing their doors. These losses affect pastors and ministry leaders in real ways. Ministry losses are piling up for pastors as hopes they had for their churches and joys they found in their ministries seem destroyed by the stifling measures we must all take right now to love our neighbor and slow the spread of this pandemic. The discipleship ministry Wendy Alsup works with recently shut down. They were no longer able to pay the barebones staff that had been treading water until churches could host them again. Wendy joins us in the 8 am ET hour to share some insights the Lord led her to through in the life of Jeremiah. Don't miss the application God wants to apply to your challenge this morning!
