This morning we hear from our station manager, Pierre Chestang; Moody Bible Institute's president, Dr. Mark Jobe; plus Lakeland's Jay Dennis.
Pierre manages the Moody Radio stations in Central, West, and Southwest Florida, while also serving as a regional manager. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute and earned a communications degree from Columbia College, Chicago. He also teaches at the Bible Training Centre for Pastors, a ministry of his church in Tampa, Fla.
Dr. Mark Jobe is Moody Bible Institute's 10th president. For over 30 years, Dr. Jobe has served as the lead and founding pastor of New Life Community Church in Chicago. He is also the founder of New Life Centers, an organization focused on helping youth in underserved areas of Chicago. He is the author of Unstuck: Out of Your Cave and Into Your Call (Moody Publishers) and the host of Bold Steps, a program heard on Moody Radio. He holds a master's degree from Moody Theological Seminary and a doctorate from Bakke Graduate University.
Jay Dennis served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland, Florida for 21 years (1996- 2017). He retired to pursue his passion and calling of leading men to live lives of moral purity. He received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary and completed his Doctorate of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminar.
Kurt Goff, co-host of Kurt and Kate Mornings, is a broadcasting veteran with a pastor's heart. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University and has more than 30 years of experience anchoring television news and hosting a variety of radio programs around the country. Upbeat and encouraging, Kurt has a passion for connecting people to God. He and his wife, Liz, have two sons.
Kate Bruington is the co-host of Kurt and Kate Mornings, Midday host, and can also be heard on Music for Sunday. Originally from East Hartford, Conn., Kate brings years of TV and radio experience to Moody Radio in Florida. She attended Boston Conservatory of Music and traveled the country singing before entering the broadcasting field. Kate's pastimes are reading and writing, and she currently spends much of her free time writing a novel. She has two daughters and two grandchildren.
