This morning Andrew and Mike chat with TWR's Andy Napier, plus they share some Kurt and Kate Mornings highlights with guests Todd Chipman and Dr. Lina AbuJamra.
Caring for the orphans. It's on God's priority list!
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…" (James 1:27).
What does this look like for us as individuals? For our local churches? Maybe God led you to adopt… Or be a foster parent. Could be you were the orphan. Let's chat!
This morning we also hear from Dr. Todd Chipman, author of Until Every Child Is Home: Why the Church Can and Must Care for Orphans.
Follower of Jesus: Do you want to live a life that is greatly used by God? Do you long to make a difference in the world?
Here's the deal. God uses a process to transform you into a person who is ready to receive all that He has planned. Sometimes He needs to strip some things from your life (whether character issues, people, etc.) that hinder you from being closer to Him and following your calling.
Have you been through the "stripping process"? What did it look like for you?
Dr. Lina AbuJamra has written a whole book about this - Stripped: When God's Call Turns From "Yes!" to "Why Me?"
Northern Nigeria is a spiritual battleground. For 10 years or more, radical religious movements have ravaged the land with horrific acts of violence. But there is hope in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We now have an opportunity to take the good news farther into Nigeria and strengthen the Church there. We're launching a powerful new 200,000-watt transmitter broadcasting hope into all of Nigeria, as well as parts of the neighboring countries of Cameroon, Benin and Niger.
Would you consider giving generously to Africa Needs Jesus today?
