Professor and author of Women in the Bible Small Group Bible Study Marina Hofman point to the lifelong relationship that Mary had with Jesus and how her impact continued in the early Church. She demonstrated a fierce and enduring commitment to Jesus which is an example we can emulate in our faith journey today.
Hour 2: Heaven and Nature Sing: A Conversation with Hannah Anderson
How do heaven and nature sing? Those well-known lyrics from Joy to the World will be sung throughout the season, but how do we experience the whole earth singing His praise? Author Hannah Anderson studies some of the natural elements of the Christmas story in her new advent devotional, Heaven and Nature Sing. She'll share how nature can be a bridge of connection for communicating the gospel with our neighbors and what we can learn from the rhythms and cycles that result in peace and joy in this distracted harried age.

Dr. Marina Hofman is a Bible and theology professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Marina illuminates the leadership, strength, character, and courage of women in the Bible to bring an inspirational message of hope and encouragement to all of us who must navigate today’s challenging and uncertain times. She is an award-winning Bible scholar and dynamic speaker-teacher who brings fresh insights to inspire readers to personally connect with the stories of women in the Bible.
Hannah Anderson
Hannah Anderson is an author and Bible teacher who lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with her husband, Nathan, and three children. Her books include All That’s Good: Recovering the Lost Art of Discernment and Turning of Days: Lessons from Nature, Season, and Spirit. She also cohosts the Persuasion podcast, which addresses cultural, theological, and more mundane issues from a Christian perspective. Hannah’s goal is to encourage believers to think deeply and broadly about how the gospel transforms every area of life.
