Do you have a talent or skill you'd like to pass on to the next generation? Or maybe you love to read and have a few hours to invest in helping a student with their reading skills. You may be just the right person to volunteer at YouthHope! Hannah Carr from YouthHope will be with us Monday to share an update on the ministry and cast a vision for how God may be calling you into this ministry that helps kids and teens learn purpose, build character, and grow in faith!
Did you know that 20% of youth ages 12-18 report being bullied? October is National Bullying Prevention Month and Monday we'll highlight how we all can be part of the solution to bullying with Focus on the Family's Danny Huerta. Danny will challenge us to consider what would happen if parents taught their children to see other kids who are hurting and come alongside them. He'll help us learn to be a "noticer" and a "builder" so that no one is left behind feeling alone and forgotten.
Daniel Huerta is the vice president of the Parenting and Youth department at Focus on the Family. In this role, he oversees Focus’ initiatives that equip parents to disciple and mentor the next generation, so that they can thrive in Christ.
