Summit LifeWhat are some of the unique challenges for blended families? With the number of marriages that are blended nearing 50% of all marriages, it's vital that churches begin to understand how to best support and minister to moms, dads, and children in blended families. Scott and Vanessa Martindale have a heart for helping couples navigate the process of blending a family in a healthy way. They join Ken and Deb to share their own story and talk about the resources available to equip and educate blended families and help them flourish as Kingdom families.
Scott Martindale is a Licensed Professional Counselor for more than 15 years and has helped couples, marriages, and families on their journey through life’s challenges. Vanessa Martindale is a registered nurse and is pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at The King’s University. They have been married for over 8 years and together founded Blended Kingdom Families—a ministry that is committed to breaking the generational cycle of divorce, equipping marriages, and educating blended families with resources and practical skills through the truth of God’s word. Scott and Vanessa are a blended family with four sons and four golden retrievers and live in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
