Dr. Shannon Warden and Dr. Gary Chapman share their parenting and counseling experience to share wisdom on various child preparing and child rearing topics in their new book, "Things I Wish I'd Known Before We Became Parents." Ken and Deb explore with Dr. Shannon Warden some of the ways you can be proactive in preparing to parent on Thursday's show.

Michael Rydelnik

Dr. Michael Rydelnik is professor of Jewish Studies at Moody Bible Institute. The son of Holocaust survivors, he was raised in an Orthodox Jewish home in Brooklyn, N.Y. Michael trusted in Jesus the Messiah in high school and has been serving the Jewish community since then. He is the author of Understanding the Arab Israeli Conflict and The Messianic Hope and co-editor of The Moody Bible Commentary. Michael served on the translation team of the Holman Christian Standard Bible translation and contributed to several other books and study Bibles. Michael is a regular contributor to the Day of Discovery television program and appeared in the Lee Strobel video The Case for Christ. He also hosts a weekly two-hour Bible Q & A program on Saturdays on Moody Radio called Open Line.

Shannon Warden

Dr. Shannon Warden is an associate professor of counseling for Liberty University. She also is a licensed counselor, who for more than 20 years, has specialized in counseling families, couples, and women. She has been interviewed on numerous radio programs and podcasts and is a popular conference speaker. Among other writing projects, Shannon has co-authored two books with her friend and mentor, Dr. Gary Chapman. She and her husband, Stephen, have three children and reside in North Carolina.
