Hour 1: Let's Get Moving: A Conversation with Dr. Lars Thestrup

Are you planning on a trip to Israel? Do your summer plans include swimming with grandkids or taking hikes with your spouse? Hour 2: Hannah Carr: Youth Hope Update

The camp season will soon be kicking off at Youth Hope’s Camp Summit, along with other in-town faith and fun-filled activities for at-risk youth. Hannah Carr from Youth Hope will be sharing what’s new, what’s coming, and how we can come alongside Youth Hope this summer. Hannah will also take us back to how this longtime ministry in our community has seen God at work in the lives of the kids and families they serve this past school year.

Dr. Lars Thestrup

Dr. Lars Thestrup was born and raised in Northern Virginia where he attended Mary Washington College earning his B.S. in Biology. He received his M.D. at the Medical College of Virginia and completed his emergency medicine residency at Johns Hopkins. Lars then completed a fellowship in North Carolina, focusing on emergency medical services and disaster preparedness at the Carolinas Medical Center. Shortly after the completion of his fellowship, he accepted a position in the City of Houston where he currently serves as an EMS Physician and practices at several emergency departments. Over time he realized his passion for health and fitness and its role in the prevention of disease which subsequently led him to the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Fellowship. This has allowed him to continue his journey in helping others evaluate their current lifestyles and assist them in obtaining their individual goals.
