How does the story of the Old Testament character of Jacob connect with Jesus and to our lives today? Pastor Doug Rowland shines a light on the wrestling match Jacob had with God and what we can take away from this struggle when we wrestle with God in our lives today. Be encouraged by this study that reminds us that our dependence on God is our greatest strength and that God likes to show His strength through our weakness.
Have you ever been afraid to say “yes” to God? What are some ways to move from that fear stop to the faith step? Jennifer Hand came to a crossroads in her life as a missionary in Nepal, grappling with what she thought was a lifelong call. In this study, Jennifer looks to the wilderness journey of the Israelites to challenge each of us to live knowing that God desires us to have our “yes” on the table, being always ready for His assignments.
Doug Rowland is the lead Pastor of Rock Island Bible Church. Doug and his wife Kristin have been married for 11 years and even since their dating years have been serving in ministry together.
