The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom is out with an annual report and Voice of the Martyr's Todd Nettleton discusses their findings. A Centers for Disease Control study has confirmed what many have feared, the pandemic has had grave consequences on the mental health of our youth with 44% of our youth saying they have ongoing “sad” and “hopeless” feelings. Licensed mental health professional Joannie DeBrito addresses these latest findings and offers hope for youth experiencing mental health struggles. Joannie will also introduce the Alive to Thrive prevention resource along with ideas on how to encourage the young people in your life.
What bags do you carry? Each of us has bags we carry through life and what we pack in those bags affects how we live out our lives and how we parent. Pastor Chris Sasser has identified eight common bags kids carry and how being aware of what is in these bags can help parents in pointing their children in a positive life direction. Chris will also share hope for parents that need relief from their own bags that are weighing them down.

Chris Sasser has been serving kids, students, and families in full-time church ministry for three decades. He is the pastor of family ministries at Port City Community Church, overseeing the ministries for kids from birth through high school. He is the lead consultant for Ministry Architects where he helps churches around the country build healthy systems.
