The release of "Sabina: Tortured for Christ the Nazi Years" is set to be released next month and we get a sneak peek with Todd Nettleton from Voice of the Martyr. Sabina's story is one of faithfulness, love, and forgiveness set during WWII. This film takes us on a journey through Romania as we hear how Sabina, a Jew who converted to Christianity, risks her life to save soldiers who killed her entire family. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the power of the gospel.
The recent abduction of missionaries in Haiti underscores the great dangers of travelling to certain parts of the world. Dr. Matt Bennett, Assistant Professor of Missions and Theology at Cedarville University, has spent 17 years serving in a hostile region and will offer insight into the current situation in Haiti. Dr. Bennett speaks to the mindset of the missionaries and why they risk their lives to serve in dangerous places. We also consider how we can advocate and pray for these dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
Todd Nettleton is Director of Media Development for The Voice of the Martyrs, working with the media to tell the stories of persecuted Christians to people in the United States. In his role with VOM, he has met with Christians who face persecution in many countries, including Sudan, China, Egypt, Turkey, Vietnam, Pakistan, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma) and Azerbaijan.
Dr. Matthew Bennett joined the faculty at Cedarville University in fall 2017 after serving and living in North Africa and the Middle East since 2011. He currently teaches The Bible and the Gospel, Theology I, Urban Missiology, Contemporary World Missions, Global Theology, and World Religions.
