Hour 1: Call of Hope: A Conversation with Dr. Samuel Naaman

As the Taliban takes control of Afghanistan and we see the thousands of citizens wanting to leave the country, Call of Hope is continuing to minister to the men, women, and children in their need. We visit with Dr. Samuel Naaman about what he is hearing from the Call of Hope workers and how we can rally behind them as they are the hands and feet of Jesus to suffering brothers and sisters in these turbulent times.

Hour 2: God Made Each Person Special, In His Image: A Conversation with Justin Holcomb

Children notice from a young age when something about their appearance is different from others. This can be confusing and embarrassing to some children and result in a negative body image. Justin and Lindsey Holcomb are helping children with the message that God made their bodies and made them special. This foundational understanding of who made us and how we are special is critical in helping with the sad statistics regarding children today and body issues. Listen in to this important conversation to hear how you can build up your children and grandchildren.

Dr. Samuel Naaman

Dr. Samuel Naaman is a professor in the Department of Intercultural Studies at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Upon earning a Bachelor’s in Social Work, he began work with Operation Mobilization and later with Campus Crusade. He earned two Master’s degrees in South Korea. He is the President of the South Asian Friendship Center in Chicago.

Justin S. Holcomb is an Episcopal priest and professor of theology and Christian thought at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary. He and Lindsey are also authors of Is It My Fault? and a children's book, God Made All of Me. Justin has also written or edited numerous books, including Know the HereticsKnow the Creeds and CouncilsOn the Grace of GodWhat Do You Do For a Living?Acts: A 12-Week StudyFor the World, and Christian Theologies of Scripture. He serves on the boards for REST (Real Escape from the Sex Trade) and GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in Christian Environments).
