Are you holding on to the hope that things might return to normal? Our guest says normal may be shortchanging us. Wife, mother, songwriter, worship leader, author, artist and Bible teacher Laura Story says that each of us has had something in our lives that has forced us to let go of whatever normalcy we envisioned. Laura shares some of her personal journey along with encouraging each of us to embrace the new adventure God has for us when we let go of normal.
How are you defined? Do you tether your identity to your profession, sport, education, relationships, or talents? What happens when circumstances change and those skills wane, the job ends, or the relationship dies? Pastor Cary Schmidt experienced a loss and change in his ministry that left him feeling lost. He discovered his true identity through that difficult season and now shares with us how we can press into our secure identity in Christ. Don’t miss this best-of conversation on who we are and whose we are on Ken and Deb in the Morning.
