Hour 1: Jennifer Hill: The Best Birthday Cake in the History of Ever

More families are spending time at home this Christmas and this may offer an opportunity to build some new traditions throughout this season! Thursday morning Ken and Deb visit with Jennifer Hill about the importance of family traditions at Christmastime that point us to the true meaning of Christmas.  Jennifer will share from her experience as a teacher some creative ideas for communicating the birth of Jesus with children with hands on activities that go along with her new book, The Best Birthday Cake in the History of Ever!

It’s soup season and Thursday Chef Stephanie Godke will be along with a new vegetarian-friendly recipe.  She’ll also share a recipe using leftover winter squash in some yummy biscuits paired with a special maple cinnamon butter. She works as a local chef and is a consultant to restaurant owners all around the Midwest. She teaches cooking classes at the local community college and also provides catering services around the area. Some of her favorite recipes can be found in her latest cookbook, Recipes on Cody Road.
